I have decided to start blogging about teaching.  I recently started creating products for Teachers Pay Teachers and found myself becoming re-energized about my job.  I love my job, but I know I can do better.  I'm hoping that this blog will help me with reflecting about what I do on a daily basis.  I hope that I can count on my followers to help as well.

A bit about myself, I am currently in my 6th year of teaching.  I have taught a 4/5 multi-aged ESL classroom, straight 4th, and currently 3rd grade.  I've taught in the same school my entire career.  Obviously, our school is focusing on the new common core standards.  In addition to this initiative, we are also adopting Steven Covey's 7 Habits of Happy Kids with the hopes of becoming a lighthouse school.

I'd like to post a link to the 7 Habits week in review freebie that I posted in Teachers Pay Teachers.  Please let me know what you think of this sheet.  My purpose is to make myself better, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.

      Thanks. I've been creating things that relate to the 7 habits recently. It's a really good program. My students are really taking ownership of it.

    Hi Andrea!!!

    I am so glad I found you!! You have so many great ideas already! I love the reading bookmarks! I definitely want to do something like that next year.

    I also LOVE that you guys are starting to use the 7 Habits. I went to the Leader in Me symposium in January and it was amazing!! We are in the process of looking into the program and hopefully we will be started on it soon!!

    I can't wait to read more from you! You will love blogging. I feel the EXACT same way that you do. Blogging makes me excited about my job, and finding other teachers who are passionate is amazing. Good luck!!!

    Thanks so much. We are in year 2 (I believe) of the implementation of 7 Habits. We are currently trying to become a Lighthouse School. Our Leadership day is on Friday. I'll probably post about that next weekend.
